Accountant for the self-employed in London
Registration, records, expenses and the return itself — handled by a named adviser who knows your file, in English, Romanian or Ukrainian.
What you get
If you work for yourself in London and you want someone else to take the tax off your hands, this is the service. We register you with HMRC if you are not registered yet, keep your income and expenses in order through the year, prepare and file your Self Assessment, and deal with HMRC when they write. You get one named adviser rather than a call centre, and a fee agreed before anything starts.
Most people who come to us are not behind on their tax because they are careless. They are behind because the work is invisible until January, and by then the receipts are in three places and the deadline is a fortnight away. The point of having us is that the work happens quietly in the background and January stops being an event.
What is included
The CWF1 and your UTR, handled for you — including the 5 October deadline in the year you start.
Income and expenses organised as you go, so nothing is reconstructed from memory in January.
Mileage, tools, phone, use of home, insurance, subscriptions — we ask the questions other people skip.
SA100 and every supplementary page, checked by a second pair of eyes before it is filed.
Letters, queries and code changes answered by us, not forwarded to you.
The same qualified person year after year, who already knows what you do for a living.
Who it is for
Sole traders across London and anyone else who files a Self Assessment on self-employed income: tradespeople and subcontractors, couriers and drivers, hairdressers and beauticians, cleaners, carers, consultants, designers and anyone running a business in their own name. It suits people whose tax is straightforward but whose time is not, and people who have drifted a year or two out of date and want it fixed without a lecture.
If you have property income, foreign income, shares or crypto in the mix, the work is larger and we quote it separately — that is the complex return rather than this one, and pretending otherwise would mean quoting you a fee we would have to change later.
How it works
You tell us what you do and roughly what you earn, either on the phone or through the form on this page. We confirm what the work involves and what it costs before anything begins, so you are never waiting for an invoice to find out.
After that you send documents the easy way — photographs on WhatsApp are fine — and we do the rest. You see the figures and the tax due before we file, explained in plain language, and nothing is submitted to HMRC until you have said yes to it.
Over fourteen years the firm has collected more than 1,300 published reviews across Google and Trustpilot, and both profiles are open for anyone to read before they pick up the phone.
What it costs
A standard self-employed return is a fixed fee, agreed in writing before any work starts. We quote it once we know what you do and what income you have, so the number you are given is the number you pay — there are no hourly surprises and no invoice at the end that you have not already seen.
Questions people ask before they call
I have never registered as self-employed. Is it too late?
Almost certainly not. HMRC expects you to register by 5 October following the tax year you started, and if that date has passed we register you now and deal with the consequences, which are usually far smaller than people fear. Leaving it alone is what makes it expensive.
I have not filed for two years. Will you take me on?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people find us. We file the outstanding years, appeal penalties where there are grounds, and where tax is genuinely due we negotiate time to pay rather than leaving you to it.
Do I have to come to an office?
No. Everything is done by phone, email or WhatsApp, and clients across London and the rest of the UK are handled the same way. If you would rather talk to someone face to face, that can be arranged.
What can I actually claim?
More than most people claim on their own, and less than the internet promises. The honest answer depends on what you do — a courier and a consultant have very different expense profiles — which is why the first conversation is about your work rather than a form.
Can you explain it in Romanian or Ukrainian?
Yes. The firm has worked with Romanian, Moldovan and Ukrainian clients since 2012 and the whole service runs in those languages, not just the first phone call.
