This page explains what this website stores on your device, and what it does not. We have kept it specific to this site rather than describing cookies in general.
Cookies we set without asking
None. No page on this site writes a cookie before you have answered the banner, and if you decline, none is written at all. That includes our own first-party advertising-attribution cookies, which used to be set on arrival and now wait for your answer along with everything else. There is no cross-site tracking anywhere on this site.
Two things do happen before you answer, and neither uses a cookie: our cookieless visitor statistics, described next, and the record of your banner choice itself, which is kept in your browser’s own storage and never sent to us.
Our own visitor statistics
We measure how the site is used with Umami, a privacy-respecting analytics tool that we run for this site. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not identify you and does not follow you to other websites — which is why it does not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. It simply counts visits and pages in aggregate.
Cookies set only with your consent
When we are running advertising campaigns or Google Analytics measurement, a small consent banner appears in the corner of the page before any of it loads. Nothing listed below is set, and no connection to Google or Meta is made, unless you choose “Accept”. If you decline — or simply ignore the banner — these services are not loaded and set nothing.
If you accept, the following cookies may be set:
- _ga
- Google Analytics. Distinguishes one browser from another so that repeat visits are not counted as new visitors. Persists for up to two years.
- _ga_*
- Google Analytics. Keeps the state of the current browsing session for a specific Analytics property. Persists for up to two years.
- _gcl_au
- Google Ads. Records that you arrived via one of our advertisements so that we can tell which advertising actually works. Persists for around three months.
- _fbp
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel. Distinguishes browsers for the measurement of our Meta advertising. Persists for around three months.
We also set a small group of our own first-party cookies, all beginning “txac_”, and only after you accept:
- txac_utm_source, txac_utm_medium, txac_utm_campaign, txac_utm_content
- Records which campaign, advertisement or link brought you to the site, copied from the address you arrived on. First touch wins: if you arrive on an advertisement, browse, and come back a week later to send an enquiry, the enquiry is still credited to that advertisement. Persists for 30 days.
- txac_gclid, txac_fbclid, txac_li_fat_id
- The click identifier that Google, Meta or LinkedIn adds to the address when you arrive from one of our advertisements there. It lets us tell which advertising actually produces enquiries. Persists for 30 days.
- txac_landing_page, txac_referrer
- The first page you landed on and the site you came from, so an enquiry can be read in the context of what you were reading. Persists for 30 days.
These are ours, they are read only when you send us an enquiry or open a booking link, and they are not shared with any advertising network as a profile. They are still advertising-measurement cookies, which is why they are behind the banner rather than described as necessary.
If you accept, we also send a copy of the enquiry you submit to Meta for advertising measurement, from our own server rather than from your browser. If you decline, we do not. Your email address and telephone number are irreversibly hashed before they leave us; the enquiry itself always reaches us either way, because that is what you asked for.
We use Google Consent Mode v2: the default state is “denied” for all storage before any Google tag loads, and it changes only when you accept. Your choice — whichever it is — is remembered, and you can change it at any time from the “Cookies” link in the page footer, which shows the banner again.
What we store in your browser
Independently of cookies, the site keeps two small items in your browser’s own storage. Neither is sent to our servers and neither identifies you.
- tx:consent
- Local storage. Records the choice you made on the consent banner — “granted” or “denied” — and when you made it, so we do not ask you on every page. It exists only if a banner has been shown to you. Removed if you clear site data, or replaced when you change your choice via the “Cookies” link in the footer.
- tx:assist
- Session storage. Set when the on-page assistant prompt (“Victoria”) has been shown, recording the single value “done” so the prompt does not appear again during the same visit. Contains no personal data and no identifier. Deleted when you close the tab.
The assistant and the chat window
The site offers an AI assistant you can talk to or write to, and the two use different providers. The written chat window is supplied by Chatbot Builder: its script, and the small icon on its launcher button, are loaded from that provider and from an image host, and the provider may set storage of its own once the window is running. It does not load while the cookie banner is still on your screen. After you have answered the banner — whichever way you answered — it loads, because the chat is a service you may want rather than a measurement tag. Tapping “Write” loads it immediately, at any point, because that is you asking for it.
The spoken assistant connects to our conversational-AI provider, ElevenLabs, and only at the moment you start a conversation. That provider may use cookies or browser storage of its own for the duration of the session. If you never start a conversation, no such connection is made.

Fonts, images and other assets
Typefaces are served from this website rather than from a third-party font service, and the photographs and illustrations on our pages are served from this website too. Loading a page does not disclose your visit to any advertising or font network.
The exception, named above, is the chat window: its script and its launcher icon come from the provider that runs it, and loading them tells that provider you opened a page here. That is why it is held back until the banner has been answered.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to third-party sites — for example Google, Trustpilot, AAT, the Information Commissioner’s Office and HMRC. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else’s site, subject to their cookie and privacy practices, over which we have no control.
Your choices
The consent banner is the primary control: accept or decline, with equal ease, and change your mind whenever you like via the “Cookies” link in the footer. Beyond that, every current browser lets you clear site data for a single website from its settings or from the padlock icon in the address bar. Doing so removes anything this site has stored; the only effects are that the assistant prompt may appear once more and, where measurement is running, the banner will ask you again.
Blocking storage entirely will not stop you using the site. Some conveniences, including the assistant, may not work as intended.
If this changes
If we introduce any further cookie or similar technology, we will update this page and make sure an appropriate consent mechanism covers it before it is used, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the UK GDPR.
